This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing shipping, delivery, and fulfillment for orders placed with The Cupcake Lab ("we," "us," "our," or "the Site") through https://www.cupcakelabatl.com. By placing an order, you agree to all terms detailed below. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact us.


1. Order Processing Times

We aim to process and prepare all orders promptly while maintaining our high-quality standards. Once your order hits the lab, we get to work!

  • Popcorn Orders: Typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days from the order date.

  • Custom Orders & Seasonal Items: May require longer lead times. You will be informed of any extended processing time at the time of order.

Please note that weekends and holidays are not considered business days. During peak periods (e.g., holidays, promotions, launches), processing times may be slightly extended.


2. Shipping Availability

We are proud to offer local and national shipping for select product categories:

  • Gourmet Popcorn: Shipped nationwide across the United States.

  • Cupcakes and Perishable Bakery Items: Available for local delivery only in the greater Atlanta, GA area. Due to their fragile nature, cupcakes cannot be shipped at this time.

If your shipping address falls outside our serviceable delivery zone, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund.


3. Delivery Methods and Carriers

We partner with reliable third-party shipping carriers, such as:

  • USPS (United States Postal Service)

  • UPS (United Parcel Service)

  • FedEx

Carrier selection depends on delivery location, shipping method chosen at checkout, and product type. Standard, priority, and express shipping options may be available depending on order size and destination.


4. Shipping Rates

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout and are determined by:

  • Destination address

  • Total order weight and dimensions

  • Selected shipping speed (standard, expedited, etc.)

From time to time, we may offer promotional free shipping for certain products or order totals. These promotions will be clearly advertised on our homepage or promotional banners.


5. Local Delivery Terms (Cupcakes Only)

Local delivery is available for cupcake orders within the metro Atlanta area. Delivery terms include:

  • Scheduling: Delivery must be confirmed and approved in advance. You will receive a time window.

  • Fees: All local deliveries incur a non-refundable delivery fee based on distance, order size, and time.

  • Conditions: We are not responsible for delays due to traffic, weather, or incorrect delivery information.

Once the order is delivered and accepted at the address provided, we are no longer responsible for storage, damage, or handling.


6. Order Tracking and Notifications

When your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that includes:

  • Tracking number (if applicable)

  • Carrier name and estimated delivery time

Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking updates to appear after receiving the tracking number.


7. Delivery Issues & Undeliverable Packages

We are not liable for:

  • Delays caused by carriers

  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer

  • Missing deliveries marked as "delivered" by the carrier

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address, we will contact you to arrange reshipment. Additional shipping charges will apply. Unclaimed or returned orders not reshipped within 7 days may be discarded or donated.


8. International Shipping

We currently ship within the United States only. We do not offer international shipping or delivery to U.S. territories, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, or PO Boxes.

We are exploring future international shipping opportunities and will update this policy accordingly.


9. Shipping Delays

While we strive to meet stated delivery timelines, unexpected delays may occur due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Natural disasters

  • Public holidays

  • Carrier disruptions or logistical delays

  • High-volume sales periods

We will communicate any known issues affecting your order as quickly as possible. However, The Cupcake Lab is not liable for delivery delays beyond our control.


10. Packaging & Sustainability

We take great care in packaging all orders to ensure freshness, quality, and product integrity.

  • All items are packed using high-quality materials to withstand normal shipping conditions.

  • Where possible, we use recyclable, compostable, or biodegradable packaging in support of our sustainability initiatives.

  • Please recycle or reuse our packaging when possible to help us reduce waste.
